Science Experiment Day 2

Hi, I'm back again after day 2 of the Cola & Mentos experiment. Today I got Angel to help me so that we could get both bottles happening at the same time. I wanted to put 6 mentos in all at once to get a big spout of drink out of the bottle. I really wanted it to go higher than yesterday. The fountain went up about 45cm. Check out the video

Science Experiment Day One

Hello Readers. Welcome to my blog

Today I started experimenting with Mentos and fizzy drinks to see what would happen with different types of drinks and different amounts and flavours of Mentos. I also wanted to know if it made a difference if the drinks were diet or full sugar.

I started with one bottle of Diet Cola and one bottle of full sugar Lemonade.

I took the lids off and put one rainbow Mentos in each bottle.They both fizzed up about 4cm only. I was a bit disappointed with that amount so I put in 5 more Mentos in each bottle. That didn't make any more fizz.  

Tomorrow I will try again with putting a whole packet in each bottle as soon as I open the lids.

I also wondered what would happen if someone ate a Mentos and drunk fizzy at the same time. 

I asked Maddock in my class if he will try this out for me tomorrow and he has agreed. So it might be quite funny to see how Maddock thinks that feels in his throat. Come back tomorrow and find out!
