Hi everyone. I've been working on a building. It's made of straws and connectors. It was a building of a jail and a police station. It took me about one hour to build it and I think I used about one million straws! The jail was 9 cubes high and the police station was 6 cubes high and had a curved roof.

Hello Arlo. I loved watching you make this because you were using maths by counting out the rows and columns of blocks and then you worked out how many straws you would need for the police station roof. I also loved the way you involved the other children in what you were doing and let them play in your building. I look forward to seeing what you build next :)

DeleteHello Arlo,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous creation you have built! I like how you have 'caught' Keri. Or was she just visiting? Building something like this does take time and a lot of thinking. Well done Arlo, I can't wait to see the next thing you build.
Tash
Thank you Tash for your comments. I didn't catch Keri, she was just visiting.
DeleteHi Arlo, what a cool looking building! It looks like you used 1 million straws! I think the title of your blog post is very cleaver and relates well to your building of your jail and police station. Gosh I thought it would have taken you longer than an hour to build. Perhaps you will be an architect when you leave school? Have a great weekend Arlo.
ReplyDeleteThankyou for your comments. I think that I would like to be a scientist when I leave school.
DeleteHi Arlo,
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an amazing cage. I like how you have written what it was made out of and how long you took to make it. Do you like to build? You are really good at building. You are also very creative. Have an amazing day -Angel. Stay safe.

DeleteHello Arlo.
ReplyDeleteThese bendy rods are great to play with aren't they?.You have made some super buildings out of them. The curved shape reminds me of an igloo. Was it hard convincing Keri to go into your jail?.
Thank you for sharing your learning.
Thank you for commenting on my blog Msr Cassidy. The straws are very fun to play with. The jail is the left one and the right one is the police station
